Last week on 30 November, the team at Headford Group attended the Newport Job Fair. Our aim was to educate others about the recruitment opportunities that we can provide to either start or further their career. We are open to those with previous experience as well as giving the younger generation who have finished school, the opportunity to start their career path in recruitment.

Darren Glasspool, Operations Manager and Sonal Jadav, Administrative Clerk, had a fantastic time engaging with the attendees and learning about individuals’ experiences. The atmosphere at the event was positive, fun and well-organised. We’re so pleased with how our stand turned out; it looked brilliant! Gaining attention from a lot of potential candidates. We had some good conversations and hopefully should have interviews come off the back of it. The footfall of this job fair was far better than previous ones we have attended. Sonal even managed to do a video interview with the event organisers.

Darren says, ‘overall it felt like a worthwhile day, and we would definitely attend again. However, the proof is in the pudding and it’s still early days to see if we attracted new employees off the back of it.’

Sonal says,‘it was a great experience for me as an admin, to speak more about what our company does and the benefits of working with us.’
